This weeks photo is set in (or near) broad stairs, we went past this closing down tailors shop whilst being at the Margate Mod weekender, a perfect background for a period photo!
The window display had many cut price items, all from a store room that hadn't been sorted out since the late 60's, gloves that were from 1972, polyester ties hat could be more at home in your 70's catalogs, etc etc, but this was fantastic as its just not seen anymore....such shops (even those that are closing) are a thing of the past. The shop front be the scars of many years and thankfully hadn't been renovated resulting in the photos period quality, mine, Martin Porters perfect series two and Perry Tomlins Indian Series two sit in front of this closed shop hopefully reflecting a 60's quality and above all a 60's feel.
The Margate Mod weekender was a cool break, the journey there and back was a long one, with me travelling down myself to meet the gang on the saturday, the approximate 65 miles were lonely, cold and long but the welcome at Margate sea front was very warm indeed...
I met with many great people that weekend, the sounds were immense , all in all a wonderful weekend which was very well organised by the GREAT BRITISH MUSIC CULTURE.
