Its my pleasure to share stories around this wonderful scene of ours, we (me) try to attend lots of ride out but we also go on many normal small rides.

 

This weeks photo would surround this, the summer evenings are long and hopefully warm, perfect scenario for an evening ride out, theres little that beats either a ride into the country with others for a quick beverage, or a trip into the big smoke for a coffee in soho, balmy nights bring into its own a fantastic experience, the kind of experience that we can only look forward to during the long winter months.

 

The photo shows a spur of the moment ride to 'the fighting cocks' in Horton Kirby, myself, Dave and Michelle (relatively new to the scene but so attached already) and two others met up for a drink in their wonderful riverside setting. On our arrival we were welcomed by the locals with 'oi chaps theres rockers around the back' easily shrugged off with a bit of banter returned 'yep seen em, dealt with em' it all keeps everyone happy.

 

The conversation always revolves around scooters, after all it is my favourite subject, included in the chat was Adrian, the owner of a lovely LI125 series 3 who explained that at the age of 17 he saved up enough to buy a scooter but this never happened, it was another 30 years before his purchase and he hasn't looked back since, then theres Jason, his purchase of an LML  was a spur of the moment choice whilst reading scootering magazine, a previous owner of big bikes his fathers addiction to the scooter scene swayed his decision, he's now looking for a classic to run aside his modern machine, as the night drew in we started the scooters up (modern machinery quicker then most) and rode into the evening country lanes being assaulted by the man flies along the way...

 

Long may these evenings remain dry and warm, long may the smell of two stroke waft around me and long may my mates who share my passion ride alongside me...a week to the day is our next evening jaunt which will be accompanied by the most beautiful of GS's (watch this space)...
