Following a refurbishment, Glasgow’s Buchanan Street Pretty Green launched its re-opening on Thursday night with a blistering acoustic set by The View’s Kyle Falconer. Accompanied by the bands keyboard player, Darren Rennie, the charismatic front-man treated 100 lucky revelers to a spirited set including fan favourites ‘Grace’, 'Superstar Tradesman’ and ‘Under The Rug’.

Customary chants of “The View, The View, The View are on fire” ring out from the floor with the crowd joining Kyle in full vocal throughout. As the singer responds to a call from the crowd for an Oasis tune with a rendition of ‘She’s Electric’ the noise level goes up a few decibels when it didn’t seem possible.

Perhaps inspired by the recent announcement of a new album by Richard Ashcoft, the set also includes a terrific cover of ‘C’Mon People’ from Ashcroft’s debut solo album Alone With Everybody. With the crowd completely captivated, Kyle takes to the keyboard and the invigorating night is brought to rousing end with a cover of the classic Oasis track ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’. Terrific stuff from the young bard!
