Watch Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno record shopping at London's Rough Trade West.
MTV took singer Tom Meighan and guitarist Serge Pizzorno record shopping at London’s legendary Rough Trade West to talk Thundercat (“I’d say Thundercat’s the best bass player in the world right now”), N.W.A (“I love Straight Outta Compton so much. It was like punk, when it came out”), Flying Lotus ([Lotus made] one of the best albums I’ve ever heard”), and much more.
We saw a side of Kasabian that doesn't get spoken about very often, that of a group of people who, despite their occasional silly statements, are really passionate music fans. For instance, during our shop, Tom bought Thundercat’s new album Drunk because he knew he’d be seeing him at the Jools Holland recording the following day, which meant he could get it signed. He was thrilled about that. Seeing people, like Meighan, getting pumped about the best artists, seeing that he's not afraid of getting excitable and looking a little less cool - that's something that we like that a lot.
Read, Serge Pizzorno would like to collaborate with Liam.
In other news, Kasabian on Oasis.
