Apparently we may get new music from The Stone Roses this week, with a selfie-mad fan coaxing the information out of Mani over the weekend.
Lewis Jones bumped into the band’s bassist last night, snapping a selfie with the pouting string-slapper before confirming in a tweet that there’s a “New stone roses single out next week, come from the man him self!!”
JUST MET THIS FUCKING LEGEND! New stone roses single out next week, come from the man him self!! and went on to add "I said I can't control my excitement is the single defo out next week and he said yeah keep listening to the radio next week!!"
It’s set for a radio drop apparently, but no further information is known on precisely when we’ll be shared.
In other news,The Stone Roses have been forced to cancel two shows in Tokyo after drummer Alan 'Reni' Wren suffered a fall - resulting in two fractured ribs. The 52-year-old drummer suffered an accidental fall and was advised by a doctor to take rest for at least a month, meaning that he wouldn't be able to pick up the sticks for their Nippon Budokan dates.
