The Stone Roses have agreed to help out some local school kids when they realised their sound checks were going to clash with exams in the building next to Manchester City's Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City were contacted by East Manchester Academy when the school realised the set up for the Roses' Wednesday and Friday shows would clash with student exams.
The club approached the band via their promoters and asked if there was anything they could do to shift the 2.15 sound checks.
Ian Brown, John Squire, Reni and Mani were happy to help and agreed to delay their sound checks until after the school bell had rung.
The Stone Roses play four gigs at the Etihad this week - kicking off today and continuing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
