Sheffield four-piece The Sherlocks reveal official video for 'Will You Be There?' out 21st September 2016.The band, consisting of two sets of brothers, have been steadily building a solid live following and were the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out their local venue the Sheffield Leadmill. With early support from the likes of Huw Stephens, Annie Mac, Greg James & Steve Lamacq, this is a young band following in the great tradition of guitar groups from their area. The Sherlocks have drawn obvious comparisons from their influencers (The Jam, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys) but this is a band with unquenchable ambition intending to create their own unique sound and already captivating new audiences.
The infectious 'Will You Be There?' is an indie dance floor filler. With it's lively drumming, powerful guitar riffs and an instantly catchy chorus, singer Kiaran Crook confidently delivers relatable lyrics such as"When they all start falling...will you be there...will you be there? And when you hear them calling, will you be there to pick them up?"
Says drummer Brandon Cook of the track; "It's basically about the notion of when you're doing well & everybody wants to know you and cling on to you... As opposed to when you're going through a rough time and most people jump offboard and forget you. Who will be the ones still with you because they truly believe in what you're doing as much as you? 'Will You Be There?' seemed like the title to sum the whole meaning up really."
Having secured a much coveted support slot on the Libertine’s Arena Tour earlier this year, as well as festival slots at Reading, Leeds and Bestival amongst others, the band have just been playing a headline sold out UK tour including venues such as London Scala and Manchester Ritz.
