The Libertines performed their first BBC Maida Vale session in about twelve years yesterday. The band played a set which included new single 'Gunga Din', new song 'Barbarians' and old classic ' Don't Look Back Into The Sun'.

This is the second time the band performs 'Barbarians' and first time they do in a studio.

The band are set to release their first album in 11 years during September, previewing 'Barbarians' from 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' on Tuesday afternoon for Annie Mac.

The Libertines recently announced that third album 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' will be released on September 4. The 12-track album follows their 2004 self-titled album and 2002 debut 'Up The Bracket'.
