In a chat with Fenners for SkySports, former the Verve's frontman Richard Ashcroft talked about his new album and his Manchester United memories.

Regarding the title of his new album, Ashcroft said: "I don't know who "These people" are but you here this phrase quite a lot.It can be a phrase used in football too "These People".

Regarding one of his best memories at a football ground seeing United, Ascroft remembered the day Man United beat Bayern Munich at Camp Nou in 1999 :

"I remember that most of the game we were awful but the end was ecstatic beyond belief, it was meeting people I hadn't seen for years Bez for instance was reportedly in a campervan somewhere round the corner."
