Ever since Beady Eye’s break-up in 2014, more and more rumours about Liam Gallagher’s career have been rising. Last week, The Sun and The Mirror published articles that linked Gallagher to The La’s Lee Mavers, who apparently had been working with him on what would be Liam’s first solo album. Unfortunately, a spokesperson for Gallagher denied that information.
The tabloids published statements from a source which explained that Gallagher had recluted Mavers (of whom he is a big fan and who he has compared to John Lennon) to help him make his return to the scene. The journals also informed that they had been writing and recording for the last two months, ever since Chris Sharrock (former Beady Eye and The La’s drummer) had brought them together.
However, a spokesperson for Liam confirmed to NME that the information was incorrect, saying “there isn’t any truth in this”. It looks like we’ll have to wait for the former Oasis frontman’s long awaited comeback to the music scene.
