Former Oasis guitarist, Noel Gallagher was among the winners at this year's Q Awards in London.

The awards, held by the prestigious music magazine in association with Absolute Radio, saw a host of stars being honoured at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin presented former Oasis star Gallagher with the Best Album Award for High Flying Birds.

After the award, Noel Gallagher said: "I'm happy with the record, I wouldn't have put it out if I hadn't. I'mpleased the way it's gone. The way it was received."

Noel Gallagher revealed to BBC this morning that he got a new idea for a song.

Talking to BBC at the Q Awards before the ceremony, former Oasis guitarist revealed he got an idea for a new tune saying: 'It sounds like my old man's a dustman'. That was all Noel Gallagher said before receiving his ward for Best Album at the Q Awards 2015.
