In an interview with Mojo, Noel Gallagher revealed what the best he's heard this year is:

"I got into that band ESG, three sisters from NewYork this year. I’ve seen the similarity of that and my song the Ballad Of The Mighty I in the bass line. As I’m listening to it I’m thinking, “Ah that’s the next step back from the early acid house.”After the disco disco it’s street disco. So I’ve listened to [Dance To] The Best Of ESG a lot thinking, “Fucking hell I’m going to rip them off so bad!” It’s unbelievable.A lot of their bass lines have been appropriated for early dance music and their song UFO is sampled in quite a lot of hip-hop tunes, but it was a new one on me!
