Noel Gallagher has snubbed a chance to reconcile with his brother Liam – after refusing to be in the same room as him in Cannes .

The pair were both invited by acclaimed director Matt Whitecross and producer Asif Kapadia to the festival for meetings with distributors about their new Oasis documentary titled Supersonic.

But while Liam, 43, went with girlfriend Debbie on a private jet, Noel, 48 , refused despite having a break in his touring schedule.

A source said: “Liam doesn’t have a bad word to say against his brother but Noel doesn’t seem to want to make peace.

“It’s a shame and causing a logistical nightmare for the documentary’s creators.” Despite turning down the invite Noel has revealed how desperate he is to see the film. He explained: “It’s nearly finished, I’ve got to go and see a version of it. “I know a lot of research went into it. But to be honest this s*** was getting made while I was putting a record together, so I couldn’t devote that much time to it."

Noel Gallagher has also said that he would reunite Oasis for 20 million pounds. Well it's a lot less than the 500 million pounds he wanted a few years ago. However, it still far too much money for anyone to agree to that. We'll see.

Liam Gallagher took to twitter a few hours ago: "See you at the premier you SHITBAG LG x". Some think the message could be aimed at brother Noel.

Oasis documentary arriving in October.
