Noel Gallagher talked to Absolute Radio about his award for best album and how he felt the album had been received:
"In this day and age you don't really know how people are gonna react to the new record. I noticed the gigs have been well attended and the audience is getting younger so that tells me that must have to do with streaming" and added on comments of the Financial Times that no anthem has been written since the times of Oasis "Yes that's true. No one writes national anthems anymore since the days of Oasis. In respect of that, I think 'Don't Look Back In Anger' was the last of those songs but that song is an incredible tune. We are at the start of the modern world everything is gonna change. It's tough but that's the way things are."
Finally, he talked about who he was looking forward to seeing that night and Noel Gallagher said: "I'm looking forward to seeing Foals. Their record is great. I bought it because I'd seen them on Jools and their record is great."
Do you agree Oasis wrote the last 'anthems'? Let us know. What are YOUR last anthems?
In other news, Noel Gallagher to play Glasgow in December
