In an interview with soundcheck.wnyc.org, Noel Gallagher talked about a possible Smiths reunion and said:"It would be great and I would be at all of those gigs and it would be amazing. I'd love to go and see  The Smiths. I went to see Johnny recently and he was doing Smiths songs and when you go and see Morrissey and his band doing Smiths songs as good as it is, it is not the same because it is not Johnny playing and even when Johnny sings Smiths songs, it is great but it is not the same as Morrissey singing that and to put the two of them on stage, it would be amazing but thee's no way you can push it to happen. When look you at these things as fans, you wonder "Well why wouldn't they do it? They are still young and they've still got hair; Morrissey's great Johnny's great but it's not as simple as just some guys getting onstage. There's a reason why bands break up. Some bands split up for several reasons and it is easy for them to get back together. Blur just got back together. So obviously what drove them apart could be fixed. But sometimes it is difficult to fix some things."

In other news, will Noel Gallagher ever make a full record with Johnny Marr?
