In an interview with Spanish site jenesaispop ahead of his show at Benicassim Festival, Noel Gallagher talked about why he always makes the headlines, Blur, his plans for the future and more.

When asked about why he thought he's still in the spotlight and always making the NME headlines on a weekly basis, former Oasis guitarist said: "I don't read the NME if that's what you mean, You see, journalists are not that good. If my stories or whatever I say appears on most NME articles or newspapers, maybe it's because I'm one of the very few people who have something to say."

Noel Gallagher was also asked if he was surprised when somebody in music declared their love for his former band Oasis and admitted he was surprised when Marr liked them:"Maybe when Johnny Marr loved us even when we were shit. Neil Young says he likes my songs. I almost died when I heard that."

He also talked about his former Britpop rivals Blur and the so called "Britpop battle: "I never took that seriously. I was never a huge Blur fan. I like some of their tunes now but that rivalry doesn't mean anything to me."

Finally, Noel Gallagher talked about his new studio album not "Chasing Yesterday" but his third solo work and said: "Yes! I'm working on it already. I'm still working on the first tracks on the album but it sounds good. Musically, I can't say much about it because it's still at a very early stage."
