
Twitter has been heralded as a way for rock stars and celebrities to talk directly to their fans, without media middlemen getting in the way and Liam Gallagher is one of those rock stars who usually uses his Twitter account to greet fans and respond to their questions directly.
This time former Oasis frontman was asked about Richard Ashcroft's latest release; his cover of the John Lennon song ‘Bring On The Lucie (FREDA PEEPLE)’. The original version of the song featured on Lennon’s 1973 album ‘Mind Games’. When asked what he thought about the new track, Liam Gallagher replied: "Biblical" and went on to add that "Lennon would have tweeted that".
Richard Ashcroft and Liam Gallagher have been good friends since the early days of Oasis. Liam Gallagher even vowed to pay tribute to “living legend” Richard Ashcroft at his upcoming Heaton Park show by performing 'C'mon People (We're Making It Now)'. ... Liam told fans his plan on Twitter on Wednesday (08.01. 20) in a series of tweets praising the Verve rocker, whom he dubbed his “hero”.
