Liam Gallagher has revealed his favourite songs by seminal acts including The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The La’s, Happy Mondays, The Doors and even Blur.

The Oasis and Beady Eye turned solo star was conversing with fans via Twitter last night, when they asked him a wide range of questions – including his personal choice cuts from some huge bands.

'The Boy with the Thorn on his side' The Smiths.

''Standing Here' The Stone Roses

'Man I'm only Human' The La's

'BeetleBum' Blur

'24 hour Party People' Happy Mondays

'Mojo Rising' The Doors.

Liam Gallagher was at the Q Awards last night (18/10) and he talked about Kasabian and Richard Ashcroft: "I should have won 'Best Song'. 'Wall of Glass' is much better than that Kasabian tune and I told Serge and Tom. It is not fucking nowhere near as good as 'Wall Of Glass' and I know they think it is and I know the people voted for it and all that but deep down it ain't. I ain't a greedy person but I'm just letting people know. And Tom knows it, and Serge knows it. If I don't put it out there, it'll ruin my night. 'Wall Of Glass' is much better than that fucking '...Psycho' tune."

Then, Liam Gallagher said on his friend Richard Ashcroft: "I'd definitely give that icon award to Richard Ashcroft cos he's an icon. I love Richard.

In other news, Liam Gallagher says he doesn't care if his borther doesn't like his new album.
