In an interview with Qthemusic, Serge Pizzorno talked about Kasabian's new studio album.
Serge Pizzorno was having the time of his life and writing his “best record yet” which should be finished any minute.
On the music he has been listening to, Pizzorno said: "I was listening to Nirvana, The Stooges – Funhouse and Raw Power, that’s what a guitar should sound like. ESG were key for me.[Album track] You’re In Love With A Psycho, a track called Looking For Some Action and one called 16 Blocks… they’ve all got that kind of groove, there’s that sort of New York, late-’70s post-punk thing going on. Comeback Kid has a bit of a mariachi feel and also there’s a bit of Sly & The Family Stone in it as well. Literally 10 minutes ago I made a new intro for that." and added "I’ve writtenmybest record yet."
