In an interview with Fox News, John Lydon discussed his autobiography and the adrenalin of shows.
"Everybody assume I was just instantaniously invented but I developed my character, my personality, the imagery ...I slowly created this in order to find out who I really was myself and so by the time I joined the Pistols I was fully loaded and ready to write songs" and added on being nervous before shows "I look forward to that fear and panic and self doubt before a gig because it is how you get the adrenalin that is necessary for the performance."
