IAN BROWN on Meat is Murder.
Famous Smiths fan Ian Brown revelaed to uncut/NME what was his favourite track from their second album "Meat is Murder". The album was released on February 11th 1985 and it's been exactly 30 years since its release. Brown said to NME "My favourite Smiths track is "Barbarism Begins At Home" because that bassline is what Andy (Rourke) would've been playing when he was about 14. That Morrissey sang with his own accent was a big deal. Obviously, the lyrics are great. The way that he arranges his songs ... no-one else arranges their songs like that. He repeats lines, but each one's got a different melody." Ian Brown, The Stone Roses.
In picture above, you can see Ian Brown at Carlos Ruiz store in Buenos Aires as part of the Sole Searching Project directed by Gary Aspden. A while ago, we had the chance to do an exclusive interview with Aspden where he discussed Adidas, The Stone Roses, and the Adidas Spezial collection.
