ELECTRIC YOUTH REVOLT, from Norwich, are Steven Bailey (bass), Neil Dennis (vocals and
guitar) and Rob Goodwin (drums). Formed at the end of 2009, the 3 piece has been holed up
near Diss, South Norfolk, writing and rehearsing their original twist of indie garage rock.
The powerful rhythm section lay down big beats and grooves, and are complimented by
scuzzy lead guitar lines and catchy vocal melodies. They've created an impressive canon of
upbeat anthems displaying a wide range of influences from 60s Mod records, the aggressive
punk power of The Jam and Sex Pistols, the wave of 90s Britpop and modern angular garage
bands.
They've built up a following gigging since last June 2010. Invited by New York label Cranky
Girl Records to play at Hull Adelphi (which has hosted The Stone Roses, Manic Street
Preachers, Radiohead and Oasis) in September, they've since supported some top up and
coming UK bands (Max Raptor, The Book Club, The Spires, GST Cardinals, Missing Andy and
Ideals).
The self release limited edition debut single 'Pretty In Pink' was celebrated with a sell out
launch show at Take 5 in Norwich, last November. Early 2011 has seen the boys complete an
East Anglian tour climaxing with a storming triumphant set at Norwich Arts Centre! They're
playing several high profile summer festival slots in the region and the gig calendar is evergrowing.
The debut EP is being recorded this
Autumn, and the lads head out on their
first full UK tour in October. They're the
real deal.
Get ready to believe again!
